Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of HashZyn (hashzyn.com), including the web scanner, API, and paid plans. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

The service

HashZyn provides online malware intelligence for files, SHA-256 hashes, URLs, and code snippets, plus a REST API for developers and security teams. Results are presented as a single verdict (clean, suspicious, malicious, or unknown) based on commercial engines, threat feeds, and heuristics. HashZyn is a defensive security tool — not antivirus software, not a consumer “PC cleaner,” and not a platform for distributing malware.

Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys. Notify support@hashzyn.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or pose abuse or security risk.

Acceptable use

You may use HashZyn only for lawful defensive security purposes. You must not: upload or scan content you do not have the right to submit; use the service to develop, distribute, or test malware for harm; attempt to bypass rate limits or authentication; scrape or overload the API; resell access without written permission; or misrepresent HashZyn results as a guarantee of safety. We may block IPs, revoke keys, or terminate accounts for violations.

Scan results disclaimer

HashZyn provides best-effort malware intelligence. A “clean” or “unknown” verdict does not guarantee a file, URL, or snippet is safe. False positives and false negatives can occur. Use HashZyn as one layer in your security workflow — not as the sole basis for safety-critical decisions. We are not liable for damages arising from reliance on scan results.

Free tier, credits, and plans

The free tier includes daily scan limits and one API key. Paid Starter and Pro plans include monthly credits that reset each billing period unless stated otherwise. Credit packs add to your account balance. Hash cache hits and certain lookups may not consume credits as described on the pricing page. Unused monthly plan credits do not roll over unless we explicitly state otherwise.

Billing and payments

Paid plans and credit packs are sold through our authorized payment provider when online checkout is enabled. Prices are shown on hashzyn.com/en/pricing in USD unless noted. You authorize recurring charges for subscriptions until you cancel. Taxes may be collected where required by the payment provider. If checkout is unavailable, contact support@hashzyn.com for manual setup.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a subscription from Account → Manage subscription (billing portal), or by emailing support@hashzyn.com. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated. Because HashZyn delivers digital services instantly, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion (e.g. duplicate charge or prolonged outage). API and fair use

API use is subject to plan limits, rate limits, and file size caps (Free: 3 MB per upload; Starter/Pro: 10 MB). We may throttle or block traffic that threatens service stability. API keys must be kept secret. Do not embed keys in public client-side code. We may change limits with reasonable notice on the developers page or via email for material reductions.

Privacy and data

Our Privacy Policy at hashzyn.com/en/privacy explains how we handle account and scan data. Samples are not archived after scanning. By using HashZyn, you confirm you have the right to submit content for analysis and that you have read the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

HashZyn, its branding, website, and software are owned by the operator of hashzyn.com. You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process submissions solely to provide the service. Do not copy, reverse engineer, or resell the service except as permitted by these Terms.

Third-party services

HashZyn relies on third-party infrastructure and malware intelligence providers. Their availability affects our service. We are not responsible for third-party outages beyond our reasonable control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HashZyn and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50 if you are on the free tier.

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate the service or your account for violations, risk, or business reasons. You may stop using HashZyn at any time.
